Yesterday in the mail I received a rather large package. I opened it up and it was my graduation pictures. I’ve been out of school for 5 and a half months and it still hasn’t really hit me that I am finished my undergraduate degree. When I pulled out all the graduation pictures I ordered to send to my family, and when I opened the letter from Wilfrid Laurier thanking me for donating as an alumni, it finally hit me. The last 4 years have been absolutely incredible. The amount of people I have met over these last few years that have changed my life is astonishing. I have met some of the most amazing people in the world, those that hold/held my head up high when I was feeling extremely low, those who have inspired me to follow my dreams and those who will 100% support me no matter what decisions I make. I cannot even begin to thank the people who have supported me throughout the last 4 years, not only in school but in life. I probably have the greatest parents in the world, I am beyond grateful. I also cannot believe that another chapter has closed in the book I call my life.
This summer marks the beginning of a new chapter, whether that chapter is me heading back to school or working in September. I know one thing for sure is that some sort of traveling will be happening over the next year, a few small trips and hopefully a big trip or two as well. One big ticket item I’d like to accomplish in the next 3 years of my life is to hit every continent before I’m 25. I’ve got 3 more to go; Europe, South America and Africa. I’m looking forward to what the future holds.
