After keeping the official date a secret for a month we finally did it. Katelyn and I both chopped off more than 12 inches of our hair to donate to companies that make wigs for cancer patients. This is not only a good cause but it was also a great experience for the both of us.
After months and months of worrying, measuring, playing with our hair to imagine what we would look like with short hair, it became a reality. This morning I accompanied Katelyn and her mom to get her hair cut. There is a video and yes I scream because I was more scared than she was. Although, I don’t know why I was so scared..I at least remember having short hair whereas Katelyn hasn’t had hair that short since she was 4!! I got over my fear and I did it as well this afternoon!
This new hair will be low maintenance and hopefully in two weeks I’ll be able to put it in a ponytail that doesn’t look like a nub.
Until Next Time,
